Restless river has quickly reached cult status among many South African wine lovers, although they haven't been around that long the wines they have created are of the highest quality. The vines they look after are some of the oldest in the Hemel-en-Aarde Valley. This coastal region far away from the bulk producers based around Cape Town is highly regarded as one of the best climates to produces wines from.
The wines from this particular producer are only just beginning to get the recognition they deserve, they are opulent yet balanced, ever-evolving and utterly delicious.
Restless River’s vineyards are some of the oldest in the region. Tiny yields and long, slow maturation produces some extraordinarily concentrated and gorgeous wines This Pinot Noir and Pinotage blend is very bold, has very pleasing aromas of black cherry, mint and potpourri scents.
Medium bodied with supple tannins and fine cutting through acidity. Perfect pair for braised beef and venison steak.

This was my second visit to Butlers Wine Cellar and on both occasions the service has been wonderful. The young lady assisted me and my wife on a number of purchases of wine and sherry and seemed very knowledgeable and made us feel welcome. Having tasted them she was spot on with her comments on each bottle. I would highly recommend anyone to use this shop.
