Sophie Cinier is Fuissé born and bred; her Grandfather planted vines in this Mâconnais commune in 1941, which have now passed into her careful hands. Sophie and her partner Alain have now expanded the estate to four hectares, where the vineyard work is entirely manual and they are pushing towards organic status.
These chardonnay vines were planted in Vers Chânes in 1985. The grapes are hand harvested and fermented with indigenous yeasts. The wine is barrel fermented, with a small proportion of new oak and no lees stirring. The resulting wine is golden yellow with an intense floral and stone fruit nose. Long and ample on the palate with fresh fruit and sweet spice.
Pairs well with river fish or a young comte cheese.
