Basa Lore is a fourth generation, family run winery which has been in operation since 1930. Located in Spains Basque region, the family continues to use the regions unique wine making traditions which they blend with plenty of knowledge of modern technique. The winery predominantly work with the traditional Txakolis variety - Hondarrabi Zuri.
This white is aged ‘on the lees’ for 10 months. A process which sees the wine is left in contacted with the yeast used for fermentation to add body and richness. This process is particularly interesting when used on wines of this style. The contrast of zingy citrus fruit, white flowers, searing acidity and the roundness from the lees results in truly unique bottle.
