It appears that many people switch to vegan diet during the dark month of January. With that in mind, we have compiled this six box of tasty treats, all of which are vegan. The box is discounted and consists of three whites and three reds which are all very popular and we think are great value.

(Vegan wines are wines that don't use any animal products in the filtration process - often they use egg whites making them non vegan)

Whites

1 x Mirabello Pinot Grigio (Italy) - £7.99

A fresh dry white with gentle floral and citrus aromas. Crisp and delicate on the palate with orchard fruit and lightly honeyed notes, balanced by lemony acidity and a fresh, dry finish. A highly versatile dry white, ideal as an aperitif or a great food wine.

1 x False Bay Chenin Blanc (South Africa) - £7.99

Wild yeast fermentation is key to this benchmark Chenin Blanc. The long wild yeast fermentation provides bready aromas and additional complexity to the wine.

Dried herbaceous notes, followed by a creamy lemon character. The palate is reminiscent of honey and citrus fruits on the nose, with great textural complexity, attributable to the long, slow wild yeast fermentation. The wine has medium rich peach/apricot flavour, with good acidity and a dry finish. This wine is unoaked. Great with a vegetable risotto, and handles spice well.

1 x Muscadet Cognettes (France) - £11.99
The Perraud family produce their outstanding Muscadet wines in a fully organic and bio-dynamic fashion. Careful growing and vinification, with 6 months on lees give a wine that is fresh and intensely floral, with a delicious mouthfeel. Top class.

Reds

1 x Adobe malbec (Chile) - £9.49

Voted by Wines of Chile as "Winery of the Year 2016", Emiliana is one of Chile's most exciting producers and pioneers in organic and biodynamic winemaking.

Deep ruby-red in colour with vibrant aromas of redcurrant and blackberries, elegantly combined with mild notes of white pepper. Medium-bodied on the palate with silky ripe tannins and a long, broad finish. An elegant wine that is easy to drink.

1 x Prisma (Spain) -  £9.99

This is the organic unoaked red from the popular Paco Mulero range and it's a great wine for the price. The grapes are handpicked, then macerated on their skin for 2 weeks and left in stainless steel which preserves the freshness and fruitiness of the wine. It has a nose of ripe plums, rich red fruit and figs.

On the palate it's generous, rich and spicy with concentrated red and black fruit, supple tannins, and fresh acidity on the finish. Ideal now the weather has turned and works well with stews and casseroles.

1 x Lopez de Haro Crianza Rioja (Spain) - £10.99
This is a deep, dark, velvety red full of ripe dark fruits, coffee, vanilla. It's smooth and fruity, with gentle tannins. The wine spends 18 months in French and American oak which adds a softness and creaminess to the finish. Delicious!
