Breggo Gewurztraminer 2011 California. The 2011 Gewurztraminer is loaded with beautiful aromatics of rose petal and tropical fruit. Hints of honeysuckle and lychee add depth to the nose. The tropical and floral flavours continue in the mouth with notes of pineapple, lemongrass, and spice. The cool vintage is reflected in the bright acidity and clean finish of this delicious wine.
This has massive ageing potential, it is full of energy but still quite closed unless you allow a full days opening time. Wild berry fruit and woodland aromas, masses of tannin but it has fruit to match, this is built for the long haul. 30 months in oak.
A fruity, floral nose marked by fine notes of French wood.
Rich and persistent on the palate with good acidity. Although the malolactic fermentation takes place in wood and the wine ages on its lees, it is surprisingly fresh.
Creamy Cheese, White Meat.
Gaiun is a specific section of the Martinenga vineyard in Barbaresco. It is aged in french oak to give a creamier style of Nebbiolo.
