Beaujolais Villages Cuvee Six, Caves de Julienas-Chaintre 2020

In 2013 the Co-operative of Julienas and Macon-Chaintré united to form one company providing wine making facilities for 169 winegrowers from across Southern Burgundy.

The Cave selects the best fruit from 6 Cru villages to go into this easy going Beaujolais. Using modern wine making techniques, and a restrained approach to carbonic maceration, they produce a light bodied Gamay which shows plenty of ripe red fruits without too much of the 'bubblegum' character often associated with Beaujolais which are ready to drink from the day of release.
