Founded in 1896 by Don José Ruiz-Berdejo, a sherry-loving man from Jerez de la Frontera, Spain, Lustau began as a humble almacenista, a small winery and warehouse that stored and aged sherry wines. Don José's passion for crafting exceptional sherries soon caught the attention of sherry connoisseurs, and Lustau rapidly gained recognition for its exceptional quality and unique style
3 En Rama by Bodegas Lustau: An exciting collection of three pure expressions of Sherry from each town of the Sherry Triangle, produced from the most outstanding casks in each Solera. To obtain the purest Sherry, Lustau brings back the “En Rama” style, which means bottling the wine straight from the cask with no additional treatment. This process usually takes place in spring, when the layer of living yeast, known as “flor” reaches its peak. By doing this the Sherry’s natural character is fully maintained and the resulting wine is unique and full of personality, influenced by the microclimate of the town in which it is aged. Jerez Finos are the most full-flavoured and rounded of the biologically-aged Sherries.
Intense golden colour with amber reflections. Pungent and intense on the nose. Yeast, white bread, chalk and butter nuances. Delicate, classy and salty on the palate, with a mineral and nutty aftertaste.

This was my second visit to Butlers Wine Cellar and on both occasions the service has been wonderful. The young lady assisted me and my wife on a number of purchases of wine and sherry and seemed very knowledgeable and made us feel welcome.
