Rising in popularity at lightning speed the innovative microbrewery Abyss were born in Lewes, East Sussex only 8 years ago back in 2016. In February 2020 they were honoured with first prize at the BREW LDN Accelerator Competition beating 19 other promising breweries. Due to the magic of crowdfunding and the overwhelming support of their loyal patrons, they were able to build a new brewery and taproom in their hometown - which was opened to the public in late 2021.

Whilst packing up to move internationally a friend died and I needed to organise an emergency case of something luscious to support the wake. Not only did their wonderful team organise and deliver within an incredibly tight deadline they drafted a message for me too which I approved. Wonderful!!

Henry and Team managed to locate some difficult to find American wine which they kindly offered and I gratefully accepted. They truly differentiate by being able to surprise by sourcing stock very much outside the run of the mill.

Great Wine/Spirit shop with knowledgeable, friendly and helpful staff
This was my second visit to Butlers Wine Cellar and on both occasions the service has been wonderful. The young lady assisted me and my wife on a number of purchases of wine and sherry and seemed very knowledgeable and made us feel welcome. Having tasted them she was spot on with her comments on each bottle. I would highly recommend anyone to use this shop.
