David Cope is proprietor of the wine bar Publik, in Cape Town, where he champions small producers and challenges misconceptions of South African wines. He is also the producer of Alphabetical wines. With his business partner, Simon Wibberly, they work with small local growers to produce unpretentious and delicious wines from the Cape. The grapes are hand harvested and fermented naturally; it is a small scale operation with a sustainable approach.
The Syrah shows fresh ripe blackberry fruit with inky depth and floral, Palma Violet overtones. Light tannins and bright acidity.
