This is made by Jim "Wild Boy "Clendenen who established his winery Au Bon Climat in 1982. He wanted to make Chardonnays and Pinot Noirs to the same level as top red and white Burgundies. The label is a picture of himself, and is possibly his most well know wine. This is an opulent style of Chardonnay, very well balanced, aged in old oak.
Rich nose yet with tension and minerals, savoury hints and aromas of peach pannacotta with herbal notes. The palate is rich with a creamy mouth feel, white stone fruit combines with minerals and fresh herbs. Dry finish with mineral acidity and powerful, persistent length.
