85% Mourvèdre, 10% Grenache, 5% Cinsault
Well-built structure with great mineral intensity. Firm tannins, generous and well-balanced, with great length. Deep aromas of black fruits (blackberries), liquorice, layered with spice notes, evolving over the years into flavours of undergrowth, truffles.
Great ageing potential: 30 or more years.
These wines have a lightness of touch, not always associated with the reds of the region. What sets Terrebrune apart is the complex topsoil composition of clay, limestone and mineral salts, a looser soil than than found in typical Bandol vineyards, giving the vines easier access to water. The coastal effect and Minstral wind tempers the heat of the Mediterranean sun.
