Bricco Asili was the first winery built by Bruno and Marcello Ceretto, in 1973. The idea was to create a place dedicated to vinification and ageing, building it precisely in the place where the grapes come from, based on French château model. Currently, grapes from three exceptional climat are processed: Bernadot from Treiso, Gallina from Neive and Asili from Barbaresco.
A stunningly perfumed and rich 1990 Barbaresco from Bricco Asili. Deep in colour, with an intensely fragrant bouquet of roasted herbs, nuts, oak, and sweet, ripe fruit, this wine possesses great richness, full body, a succulent texture, and a finish that lasts for nearly a minute.

This was my second visit to Butlers Wine Cellar and on both occasions the service has been wonderful. The young lady assisted me and my wife on a number of purchases of wine and sherry and seemed very knowledgeable and made us feel welcome. Having tasted them she was spot on with her comments on each bottle. I would highly recommend anyone to use this shop.
