Beaune 1er Cru Bressandes Henri Germain 2009 magnum

Beaune is often over-looked in Burgundy terms, but it makes maybe the archetypal style of red Burgundy. Rich yet mid-bodied and dry without being overtly tannic, these are classic wines. Henri Germain is maybe better known for his Meursault white wines, but he also makes a little perfectly proportioned red that’s a great example of what red Burgundy should taste like.
