Legend has it the serve was invented at Chasen’s restaurant in West Hollywood (Old Hollywood Personified), to serve then-child actress Shirley Temple. Over time, it’s become the world’s most iconic ‘virgin’ serve.
The name Shirley Temple is filled with nostalgia (with a cherry on top). Cheekiness in a cocktail sling as big as a child’s grin. Effervescent, indulgent and outrageous.... all in one big slurp. Black Lines reached out to Brighton based artist Alex Khabbazi to create their eye-catching label. With a background in architecture and structured graphical artwork, his illustrative instinct was free to run wild and conceive the Maraschino character for the Shirley Temple. Combining textural printing techniques with joyous, zestful shading, they have created a charismatic new member of the family, oozing with aspiration and energy.

This was my second visit to Butlers Wine Cellar and on both occasions the service has been wonderful.
