This Wonderful Cabernet comes from high elevation vineyards amongst the foot hills of the Andes. Hot days and cool nights help to ripen the grapes in a unique way, developing ripeness, whilst preserving the fresher qualities.
This wine is made from seriously low yields, with a ratio of 1.1 bottles made per grape vine. The high altitude, steep slopes means everything must be done by hand. The wine is matured in 50% new oak barrels for 18 months before being bottled.
The end result is a wine that exudes ripe blackberry and cassis fruit intermixed with floral tones of primrose and tulips. The palate is juicy with firm tannins, which give way to a rounded body, with balanced acidity and a concentrated, lengthy finish.
