A deep red – purple colour with attractive and lifted aromas of spice and pepper with a hint of fine French oak. Initial flavours of spicy Shiraz fruit lead to a fine textured middle palate with nicely resolved tannins. A persistent finish completes a fine medium bodied style.
The 2015 vintage resulted in fine medium bodied reds out of the region.
Grapes were crushed directly to open fermenters with about 20% going to new French oak after pressing. After 12 months’ maturation, the wine was racked, clarified, and bottled.
