Old vines grow high on the ‘Reverdon’; the sandy, pink granite slopes opposite Mont Brouilly. The volcanic soil is poor but well drained and these hard working vines produce intensely perfumed wines with exceptional balance. The vinification process involves whole bunch fermentation, with only 8 days maceration, before 7 months maturation in concrete vats. The 2017 Reverdon is a beautiful cherry red, round and soft on the palate with fresh garden fruits and supple tannins.
The 2017 vintage represents the 140th vintage vinified by the Geoffray family at Château Thivin!
