Ca dei Maghi is a small producer, nestled in the hills of the Valpolicella wine region, to the East of Lake Garda. It was established in the 1950s, when Valpolicella was a very prolific style of wine, in terms of the quantity produced. The first generation were at the forefront of what is now known as agriturismo in the region.
The 30 year old vines (Corvina, Corvinone, Rondinella, Molinara) grow in marly-limestone soils, in the grounds of a Villa in the town of Fumane. The wine spends six months in stainless steel tanks.
An intense ruby colour, the shade of the local cherries. A juicy wine with hints of fresh red fruit. Notes of morello cherries, red flowers and spices.
It is ideal with cold cuts and cheeses and excellent with pasta and beans.
