The Fattoria di Calappiano, in Vinci, Montalbano, represents one of the historicalarchitectural treasures of the Medici family of Florence. It was built around 1500 with the aim of creating one of the first examples of Tuscan Farm with wine production and a hunting reserve to cheer guests during their stay.
These days, it is composed of about 200 hectares of vineyards, olive groves and woods and is protected by the authorities as a natural heritage site. It is home to a laboratory of excellence where unique, territorial and innovative wines are produced.
Fermented and aged in stainless steel with malolactic fermentation. This young wine is is bright with mineral notes and cherry fruit. Soft tannins. An approachable wine for a simple ragu.
