Caldora winery is located in the province of Chieti, in Italy’s Abruzzo region. It was born from the co-op, Cantina Sociale di Ortona and created as their ‘Progetto Qualità’ - Quality Project.
The grapes for this Montepulciano d'Abruzzo are harvested from Ortona, San Salvo and Pollutri on the Adriatic coast. Fermented in stainless steel, it is ruby red, with marasca cherry and prunes upfront and accents of spice and vanilla. Full-bodied, round and soft but with a balancing freshness and bright tannins.
Pair with cured meat and cheeses.
