Cantine Povero is a picturesque family-owned estate with 35 hectares of vines on the rolling hills of Langhe, Roero and Monferrato. After several years of trialling sustainable practises, the vineyards were certified organic in 2019.
100% Nebbiolo, with an intense and spicy nose laden with dark fruits followed by a complex blend of plums, tobacco and vanilla. A great Barbaresco to drink now, however could definitely get better with age. An approachable Barbaresco with an undeniable elegance, aged in oak for 24 months before release.

This was my second visit to Butlers Wine Cellar and on both occasions the service has been wonderful. The young lady assisted me and my wife on a number of purchases of wine and sherry and seemed very knowledgeable and made us feel welcome. Having tasted them she was spot on with her comments on each bottle. I would highly recommend anyone to use this shop.
