“Alimara” in Catalan, means beacon and in this instance they are referring to the beacons of fire that were placed on the top of hills to rapidly pass signals between towns and populations. This thought process becomes clear when understanding their wines as a signal of Catalans increasing quality and ingenuity.
This is well named as "Llumi" in Catalan means light. A striking blend of Macabeu (55%) and White Grenache (45%) harvested by hand in the first week of September after a hot dry summer the ripeness is balanced by the intense mineral limestone the vines grow in.
Smooth and easy-drinking white with gentle notes of pears and citrus on the nose and palate with refreshing acidity and a mineral core. Wonderful with a summer salad or light poultry dishes.

This was my second visit to Butlers Wine Cellar and on both occasions the service has been wonderful. The young lady assisted me and my wife on a number of purchases of wine and sherry and seemed very knowledgeable and made us feel welcome.
