Ch Brannaire Ducru, is a family owned estate in St Julien, Bordeaux. It had decent investment in 1988, since then it has thrived, making solid Bordeaux wines, which are capable of ageing many years. The wines tend to be fairly priced and offer the drinker a generous wine. It is made from a combination of Cabernet Sauvignon, which gives the structure, and Merlot, which provides fruit and spice notes. It has been aged in oak for about a year, to add more layers of complexity.
The 2009 harvest was a good one, the wines were full of ripe fruit from the start, and continue to age well.
