A blend of three quarters Muscadelle with the balance from Semillon. Rich oak with brilliant vibrancy. Concentrated, complex and compelling.

What a delicious wine this is. This fits into the section where none of us know where it is, we forget that we have it in stock, when somebody orders it we deny that we've ever had it. It doesn't have an obvious shelf space. It will now, it's really interesting. Ch Tirecul is based in Bergerac in France, not that far away from Bordeaux.

They became quite well known for making very high scoring sweet wines, which they still do, and we also like! This is made up with the Muscadelle grape, a variety mostly utilised as a bit player in some sweet wines of the region, blended with Semillon, there is also a dash of Sauvignon Blanc included. It's organic and vegan if that interests you.

What interests Butler is that it keeps him going back into the glass. It's waxy, honeyed, but has tangerine and zesty notes, the wine, he says evolves each time he goes back to it. It has weight, body, and richness, but is also delicate.

It's not stupid money but really deliveres something very interesting and tasty.
