Château Brane-Cantenac Baron de Brane Margaux 2011

Baron de Brane, often hailed as the Napoleon of the vineyards, took ownership of Château Gorce in 1833. A true trailblazer in the world of wine, he keenly recognized the esteemed reputation and untapped potential of the extraordinary terroir nestled on the finest slopes of Cantenac. With unwavering dedication, he invested both his energy and wealth into its development. In 1838, as a lasting testament to his influence, he bestowed upon the property the name we now know it by, Brane-Cantenac.

In 1925, the Lurton family acquired this prestigious estate, and across the passing generations, they have faithfully preserved the delicate, intricate, and aromatic style that has become synonymous with Brane-Cantenac.

Château Brane Cantenac's second wine, Baron de Brane, emerges from the vines that are relatively youthful, at around 25 years old. It undergoes a meticulous aging process, spending 12 months in barrels, of which 30% are new. On the nose, you'll discover captivating notes of blackberry, blackcurrant, and a subtle floral aroma. The palate is characterized by its ample, round, and generous nature, featuring fine tannins, and an overall impression of flamboyance.
