Ch Caronne Ste Gemme is a Cru Bourgeois Haut Medoc, a 45 ha property lying on the border of St.Julien, next to the 2nd Growth Ch Gruaud Larose.
It has been shipped directly from the Chateau so is in prime condition.
This silky wine is a Cabernet Sauvignon lead blend, backed up with a decent amount of Merlot and a sprinkling of Petit Verdot. It is now made by Francois Nony, who over the last few years has injected a new lease of life into the wine. He has softened the style and it is now much more fruit driven, the 18 months oak ageing is neatly balanced.

This was my second visit to Butlers Wine Cellar and on both occasions the service has been wonderful. The young lady assisted me and my wife on a number of purchases of wine and sherry and seemed very knowledgeable and made us feel welcome.
