Chateau Montaud near Pierrefeu, owned by François Ravel, has 400 ha of vines on the schistous terraces and slopes of the Massif des Maures.
The pale salmon pink rosé is a blend of Cinsault, Grenache, Syrah, Mourvedre and Carignan. Destalked and crushed, the grapes macerate for a short time to extract colour and flavour, before a gentle pressing in a low pressure pneumatic press and low temperature fermentation in stainless steel vats.
Dried cherry, redcurrants and wild strawberry on the nose. Quite lush red summer fruits on the palate with good balancing acidity, classic Provence rose, perfect with white meats.
