One of the oldest and largest estates of Châteauneuf du Pape. The blend of handpicked Grenache noir (37 %), Syrah (29 %), Mourvèdre (27 %), Cinsault (7%) are subject to vinification methods of regular pumping over and punching downs ensuring the best extraction of fruit. The wines are subject to a second fermentation in oak vats for malolactic fermentation and then aged in barrels for 12 months before blending and then bottling 6 months later.
This is a rich and well balanced wine with complex floral aromas, black tea and blackcurrant fruit, all supported by a layered tannic structure. A concentrated vintage with real aging potential.
Drinks well with Lamb, Beef or Duck.
