We have stocked and drunk the fantastic wines from Terlaner for many years. We were fortunate to enjoy a few bottles of their entry level Pinot Bianco in @Mere restaurant , which is better, in our opinion, than most producer's top wines!
Terlaner is regarded as one of the best cooperatives in northern Italy. It has produced top quality white wines for many decades, and they specialise in the Pinot Bianco grape variety, also known as Weissburgunder in this region.
Their wines, from Alto Adige, are precise, clean, and very refreshing, but they also have depth, weight and complexity. It is unoaked, but has gained complexity from being aged on its lees for six months.
A delicious, and generous vintage with plenty of tangy fruit, medium rich with a long finish. It's lovely now, but don't worry if you forget to drink it, they improve over decades.
