Magnums of one of Beaujolais' finest, with some bottle age! This is a real treat and something of a rarity.
Château Thivin is one of the benchmark Beaujolais producers and one of the oldest. It's also one of our very favourites, it consistently over delivers and Butler always has a bottle to hand as its a superb all rounder and crowd pleaser.
It's made from old vines, traditional whole-cluster fermentation and aged in very large old oak barrels which results in a dense and beautifully aromatic range of wines with great structure. ‘Les Sept Vignes’ is a blend of the estate’s holdings in the Cote De Brouilly. They are certified sustainable and in conversion to organic certification for their vineyards.
A beautiful demonstration of how these superb wines do with some time in bottle, this still displays vibrant aromatic fruit but has developed lovely mature spice and earth character as well. Silky and fine on the palate, it's a wine of finesse and elegance, with a long moreish finish redolent of red and black berries.

This was my second visit to Butlers Wine Cellar and on both occasions the service has been wonderful. The young lady assisted me and my wife on a number of purchases of wine and sherry and seemed very knowledgeable and made us feel welcome.
