Reserve de Fleur is a modern style, unoaked Cotes du Rhone, blended to reflect its origins in the hot southern Rhone Valley and deliver clean, bright fruit backed up by delicate tannins and balancing acidity.
From near historic Avignon in the southern Rhône Valley, the vines are around 25 years old and the soil is covered by the famous big round pebbles lying on clay which limits the yield (40 to 45 hl/ha), increasing concentration in the grapes. The strong Mistral wind, a typical phenomenon in the Côtes du Rhône valley, ventilates the vineyards naturally and protects the grapes against disease, especially during the harvest period. The wine is: Syrah 80%, Grenache 17.5%, Carignan 2.5%
This Cotes du Rhone has a clear, intense red colour and aromas of black and red currant. The wine is youthful and fresh in the mouth, with flavours of pepper and liquorice. Perfect with game stews, any Mediterranean sausages, pasta or cheese fondue. wine is bottled unfiltered for more character and flavour.
Light yellow, clean and transparent. The nose offers floral aromas of jasmine, as well as herbs, lychee, and honey notes. The floral notes reappear on the palate, along with apple, apricot, and mandarin orange. Presents good volume and the flavorful, persistent finish leaves a sweet and fruity sensation on the palate.
