There is a big wine lurking in this little bottle. It's made with fruit from some of the Barossa Valley's most ancient vines - some over 100 years old - and has all the concentration and intensity of flavours that this longevity provides.
The palate is full-bodied, generous and incredibly layered, unfurling new depths with every sip. Juicy plums, ripe blackberries, rich dark chocolate and sweet Christmas pudding spices flow out of the glass, propped up on firm tannins and more nuanced pepper spice notes. The finish is long, voluptuous and fruit-driven.
All in all, a fitting tribute to Carl Lindner, the Barossa winemaker who championed old vines, after whom the wine is named.
