Des Velao NV

From  Jerez, the famous Sherry region this is a delightful oddity. Velao means breaking of flor as this100% Moscatel de Alejandría spends a brief period under flor and is produced in the solera system, hence the NV classification. Only 2,500 bottles of this wine are produced and it is unfiltered.

Bright golden yellow in colour, with notes of Asian fruit, lychee, melon, dried apricots, white flowers, figs and light herbal notes. There are salty, savoury and nutty characteristics as you would expect from the sherry style of production. On the palate it is soft and delicate with more tropical fruit with afresh palate, good acidity and elegant bitterness. It has a warm and velvety finish.
