The Roy family have been vignerons in the village of Fontenay, just to the north of Chablis, for over 200 years. They have only recently begun to bottle a significant proportion of their harvest, having previously sold a majority in bulk to the negociants.
Coteaux de Fontenay is their finest cuvee from a site right next to Premier Cru Fourchaume.
Steely fresh, lovely concentration, balanced, lovely now, but will age well.

This was my second visit to Butlers Wine Cellar and on both occasions the service has been wonderful. The young lady assisted me and my wife on a number of purchases of wine and sherry and seemed very knowledgeable and made us feel welcome. Having tasted them she was spot on with her comments on each bottle. I would highly recommend anyone to use this shop.
