Beautifully ripe, round southern Burgundian white from one of the best villages in the Côte Chalonnaise. The grapes are carefully selected from Domaine Belleville's own vines in Rully's 1er Cru La Pucelle vineyard. There is plenty of winemaking involved in bringing the best out of them.
Fermentation took place at 15-20°C in oak barriques, followed by up to 18 months' oak ageing, with regular lees stirring to round out the body. All of this work culminates in a rich, expressive wine with gorgeous buttered stone fruit and citrus aromas. On the palate it's so mellow and balanced, with a complex finish of toast and minerals.
A dream with roast chicken or buttery fish/seafood dishes.
