Jean-Christophe Bott took control of the estate in 1993 , he then converted it to biodynamics in 2002. They tend 15 hectares around southern Alsace. The Elements series is about creating elegant wines to pair with food.
Archetypal Alsatian riesling from the exceptional 2020 vintage, dry but richly textured and full-bodied. Ripe citrus and apple flavours are matched by a powerful minerality and racy acidity. Very versatile food wine, can be enjoyed with rich fish dishes, chicken or truly Alsatian: pork with choucroute (sauerkraut).

Whilst packing up to move internationally a friend died and I needed to organise an emergency case of something luscious to support the wake. This was my second visit to Butlers Wine Cellar and on both occasions the service has been wonderful. The young lady assisted me and my wife on a number of purchases of wine and sherry and seemed very knowledgeable and made us feel welcome. Having tasted them she was spot on with her comments on each bottle. I would highly recommend anyone to use this shop.
