It is undeniably sensational for a Villages-level wine, but regrettably, the allocation for this year is extremely limited.
The blend comprises three carefully selected parcels, accounting for nearly 2 hectares of vineyards, with the advantage of old vines contributing to the wine's complexity and depth. It has a deep colour and the nose draws you in with an enveloping bouquet of dark, pure, and precise fruit aromas. On the palate, the wine impresses with its broad and concentrated profile, showcasing ample weight and structure. This was my second visit to Butlers Wine Cellar and on both occasions the service has been wonderful. The young lady assisted me and my wife on a number of purchases of wine and sherry and seemed very knowledgeable and made us feel welcome. Having tasted them she was spot on with her comments on each bottle. I would highly recommend anyone to use this shop.
