Domaine Christian Bellang & Fils Meursault 2021

A family legacy spanning several generations, the Meursault estate's ancestral roots date back to 1789. In 1974, Christian assumed management of his parents' estate, primarily comprised of vineyards in Meursault, along with some inherited from his father-in-law in Savigny-lès-Beaune. His son, Christophe, joined him in 1995, and together, they embarked on an expansion journey, acquiring plots in Meursault, Savigny-lès-Beaune, Chorey-lès-Beaune, and Beaune. Presently, Christophe oversees the estate, which now encompasses 9 hectares of vineyards.

100% Chardonnay - The grapes undergo gentle pressing using a pneumatic press, followed by a settling period of 24-48 hours before racking. Alcoholic and malolactic fermentations occurs within oak barrels. After maturing for 10 months in oak, including 20% new oak, the wine is bottled. This classic Meursault exudes a rich, fruity bouquet with prominent toasty oak notes. On the palate, expect the indulgence of butter, lush fruit flavours, and hints of buttered toast. This exceptional wine boasts remarkable length and rewards those patient enough to cellar it for up to a decade.
