From a certified organic producer this is a top quality Premier Cru Chablis. The Fourneaux vineyard, meaning 'oven' in French, is one of the warmer in Chablis, producing wines of great intensity and richness. Corinne Perchaud and her husband Jean-Pierre Grossot favour a classical style, with long ageing on the lees to develop more toast and mineral character.
Russet apple and flinty notes dominate the nose alongside subtle hints of more tropical fruit and the palate is racy and bone dry with excellent length to the finish. A wine to pair perfectly with classic French fish dishes like sole meuniere or coquilles St Jacques.

This was my second visit to Butlers Wine Cellar and on both occasions the service has been wonderful. The young lady assisted me and my wife on a number of purchases of wine and sherry and seemed very knowledgeable and made us feel welcome. Having tasted them she was spot on with her comments on each bottle. I would highly recommend anyone to use this shop.
