Gerard Gauby took over this family estate in 1985 when it consisted of 5 hectares of vineyards. They now have 40 hectares, including some 100 year old vines planted by his grand father. The estate sits in the hills in Calce, Roussillon.
They have been certified organic since 1996, they farm sustainably and are very low in sulphur.
The Jasse Blanc is a blend of Muscat Petit Grains and Muscat d'Alexandria, la Jasse is a specific site where the grapes are grown. They have 15 days skin contact which gives the wine a deep hue. This is a wonderfully complex wine, it smells like it is going to be sweet, but is dry, honeyed, aromatic, and textured. It keeps you going back into the glass.
