Barbara Palacios is a female run winery started by the current owner of the same name in the Rioja DOC region. Coming from a long line of viticulturists and winemakers, Barbara has gained in experience across the globe in some of the most prestigious wine regions the world has to offer. She began her own project in 2005 cultivating vineyards planted by her father in the early 90's
Currently the winery is most known for their Barbarot wines - a unique blend of Merlot and Tempranillo.
A modern style of Rioja made with a blend of Tempranillo and Merlot.
With the name inspired by the family dog, this is bursting with crunchy red fruits, remeniscent of cherries and raspberries. It is fresh, nicely balanced with rounded tannins and a pleasant long finish.

Whilst packing up to move internationally a friend died and I needed to organise an emergency case of something luscious to support the wake. Not only did their wonderful team organise and deliver within an incredibly tight deadline they drafted a message for me too which I approved. Wonderful!!

Henry and Team managed to locate some difficult to find American wine which they kindly offered and I gratefully accepted. They truly differentiate by being able to surprise by sourcing stock very much outside the run of the mill.

Great Wine/Spirit shop with knowledgeable, friendly and helpful staff
This was my second visit to Butlers Wine Cellar and on both occasions the service has been wonderful. The young lady assisted me and my wife on a number of purchases of wine and sherry and seemed very knowledgeable and made us feel welcome. Having tasted them she was spot on with her comments on each bottle. I would highly recommend anyone to use this shop.
