Fontodi Flaccianello della Pieve 2014

The wine is charming and fresh with green tea, tobacco and lavender notes. It's finer and leaner than its siblings, without lacking concentration. Tangy acidity and vibrant red cherry fruit carry the finish, and while it may not go the distance of other recent vintages, it merits a place in the savvy collector's cellar and will offer plenty of pleasure for the next decade or so.
