The Four Vines is a highly acclaimed and renowned winery and Chardonnay and Zinfandel producer based in California. It was established back in 1994 by winemaker Christian Tietje. However, the wine estate originated in a surf shack and garage. At that time, Christian served as a chef in a restaurant in Boston. It allowed him to develop the sensory attributes and experience to build his career in winemaking.
The Biker comes from a selection of Zinfandel vineyards aged between 30 and 70 years in the warm Paso Robles region of California's central coast.
Classic Zinfandel, without straying too heavy into pruney or jammy aromas, with lots of ripe red berry, black cherry and plum fruit and sweet baking spices. Soft tannins and fairly low acidity make for a plush and easy palate, its real comfort wine and would go brilliantly with American style barbecue or burgers!

Whilst packing up to move internationally a friend died and I needed to organise an emergency case of something luscious to support the wake. Not only did their wonderful team organise and deliver within an incredibly tight deadline they drafted a message for me too which I approved. Wonderful!!

This was my second visit to Butlers Wine Cellar and on both occasions the service has been wonderful. The young lady assisted me and my wife on a number of purchases of wine and sherry and seemed very knowledgeable and made us feel welcome. Having tasted them she was spot on with her comments on each bottle. I would highly recommend anyone to use this shop.
