In the darkest depths of lockdown, John and Georgina had an ambition. They were hatching plans to be more creative, to take them away from their corporate worlds and immerse themselves in something new. The prospect sounded daunting and exciting; a midlife flip to create a world where they were their own bosses and they had more time to spend with their young family. With many ideas bubbling around in their heads and late night discussions aplenty, their ideas were whittled down and Goldstone Rum was born and we are incredibly excited to be a part of this unique venture creating some top tier spirits and liqueurs right here in Sussex.
Double distilled using Nelmar (the name of their copper pot still) and a single run through a vapour infusion column to create a smooth, earthy rum with a hint of sweetness on the back end, great for cocktails or on its own over ice with a twist of lime. A beautifully clean style that is smooth and easy drinking.

Henry and Team managed to locate some difficult to find American wine which they kindly offered and I gratefully accepted. They truly differentiate by being able to surprise by sourcing stock very much outside the run of the mill.

This was my second visit to Butlers Wine Cellar and on both occasions the service has been wonderful. The young lady assisted me and my wife on a number of purchases of wine and sherry and seemed very knowledgeable and made us feel welcome. Having tasted them she was spot on with her comments on each bottle. I would highly recommend anyone to use this shop.
