2 x False Bay Chenin Blanc
A sustainable Chenin from the costal regions of South Africa. Full of dried herbaceous notes, followed by a creamy lemon character. The palate is reminiscent of the nose, with great textural complexity. The wine has a medium rich peach/apricot flavour, with good acidity and a dry finish. This wine is unoaked and perfect for all the xmas starters and snacks.
2 x Raza Vinho Verde Escolha
With a fizzy crispness and an easy, fruity finish this wine is dangerously easy to drink. At 11.5% you can have a second bottle too! With a little bit of residual sugar (9g/L) its a wonderful wine for drinking by itself or with oily fish, salads or anything spicy as it tackles heat well.
2 x Pasquiers Sauvignon Blanc/Vermintino
Coming from the Pays D'Oc in southern France this is a blend of Sauvignon Blanc and Vermentino. Its full of exotic fruit from the Vermentino which is balanced by the fresh acidity of the Sauvignon Blanc.
2 x False Bay Old School Syrah
False Bay is a winemaking project in South Africa. The winery is in an area known for it's complex biodiversity, so they have to be respectful of the surrounding environment. They adopt a hands off approach to wine making, everything is done very naturally. Full yet elegant with bramble aromas and cream, cassis and black cherry flavours on the palate with structure provided by fine tannins with a long rich, ripe finish.
2 x Pasquiers Grenache Noir
Guillaume Letang, a winemaker based in southern France, cleverly sourced some of the juiciest fruit in the Languedoc to produce this wine. No oak is used in the vinification.
The black Grenache from the deep South of France is steeped in texture and character. Rich black fruit and sweet spice on the nose with more intense berry fruit and liquorice on the palate.
2 x Da Vero Nero d'Avola
Coming from the north western area of Sicily, this is 100% Nero d'Avola, a native grape to the island. Its full of ripe aromas of black fruit and a hint of spice. The palate is full with rich plum and bramble fruit characters, and plump tannins.
