Winemakers don't come with a higher pedigree than John Duval. He spent nearly three decades making Penfold's Grange, arguably the most famous red wine ever to come out of Australia.
Since 2003, John has been ploughing his own furrow and Plexus is where it all started. His vision was to make the ultimate expression of the red grapes of the Barossa, using the best old-vine fruit sourced from long-time friends.
That vision is still going strong. The 2017 Plexus saw minimal intervention in the winery, so the beautiful fruit profile of the Shiraz, Grenache and Mourvèdre grapes shines through.
This wine is super vibrant, with plush blackberry, blueberry and spiced plum fruit underpinned by dense, earthy spice and tannins so supple they could teach yoga.
