Frank Lihour is a young winemaker representing the fifth generation of winemakers from Monein. He has injected a newfound vitality into this tranquil region with wines that resonate with the pure essence of Jurançon and its unique terroir. With over a decade of winemaking experience spanning the globe, including a stint at Beaumont Winery in South Africa, Frank accumulated a wealth of ideas to elevate the quality of wines in his homeland. These concepts were gingerly introduced to his father, and he has now assumed full control, resulting in wines that are nothing short of exceptional!
Made with Gros Manseng, this vintage is a great example of his modern style - think Chablis cross Viognier - ripe apricot, orange peel and a hint of lemon sherbet to finish off. It is bone dry but incredibly moreish!

This was my second visit to Butlers Wine Cellar and on both occasions the service has been wonderful. The young lady assisted me and my wife on a number of purchases of wine and sherry and seemed very knowledgeable and made us feel welcome. Having tasted them she was spot on with her comments on each bottle. I would highly recommend anyone to use this shop.
