Vermillion make their wine from the vineyards to the bottle, working closely with grape growers from awesome little vineyard sites in Napa Valley, Sonoma County, and the Sierra Foothills. They have purposefully sought out interesting sites with great dirt to farm them with care and thought, and traditional winemaking. The result is honest wine to match any occasion, any food, any time. Vermillion is a terroir-driven, delicious, hand-crafted wine to be enjoyed any night of the week.
A real mad scientist blend based mostly on Grenache, Mourvèdre, and Syrah (there’s some Cabernet Sauvignon, Petite Sirah, and Counoise thrown in for good measure) made by Helen Keplinger. Black raspberries, cherries, strawberries, spice, with leafy herbs that flow to a medium-bodied, balanced wine that delivers tons of pleasure.

This was my second visit to Butlers Wine Cellar and on both occasions the service has been wonderful. The young lady assisted me and my wife on a number of purchases of wine and sherry and seemed very knowledgeable and made us feel welcome.
