Fifteen-acres of vines have been initially planted, including Pinot Meunier, Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, Bacchus, Pinot Blanc and Regent grapes. The initial vines were planted in 2010, 2011 and 2013. The vineyards have been planted on south facing slopes in the land of the original English country garden established by William Robinson and set within the picturesque backdrop of the Kingscote Valley. The soil is a rich mix and contains sand, clay and ironstone. The Kingscote Estate has been established to produce more than 100,000 bottles under the Kingscote brand each year.
A delicious and peculiarly English Chardonnay. Dry, unoaked, surprisingly aromatic and delightfully refreshing. Apple and hedgerow scents fill the nose. An excellent aperitif or food wine particularly with oysters, pan fried fish, white meats and chicken.
