La Vendimia Palacios Remondo Rioja 2020

Fantastic young Rioja from one of Spain's greatest producers. Medium bodied, concentrated fruit but balanced and not cloying at all. This is a fresh, elegant, modern style of Rioja - no gold hair net on this bottle!

This wine is a blend of Tempranillo and Garnacha, made by Alvaro Palacios he is regarded as one of the very best winemakers in Spain. He has his own vineyards in Priorat, near Barcelona, his main wine sells for about £600. This Rioja is from his father's estate, but Alvaro makes the wine. It’s a modern style of Rioja which focuses on fresh, fruit driven flavours, which isn’t heavily oaked. The funky label represents all the colours you see in the vineyard.
